A bottle with a wide body and narrow mouth is the guardian of this World Heritage rum. Made of opaque glass and a label with pastel tones where the Ingenio Manacas sign stands out, once uncovered it appears in a bright amber color, with tones of Amontillado, a fortified wine typical of some areas of Cádiz and Córdoba. Aromas of vanilla, cocoa, plum and toffee emanate from the bottle, standing out on the palate and presenting a rich, long taste with an intense memory.

Description:
In 1948, Juan Jiménez Villalba, foreman of our Jerez winery, left for Cárdenas, Cuba, to take care of the barrels of our wine and brandies. There he discovered the exceptional qualities they possessed for aging local rum.
Some colonial Haciendas exchanged his rum with Juan for Sherry barrels. A much appreciated barter.
After the Cuban revolution, Juan managed to repatriate some of those barrels, creating a small solera in our winery in Jerez.
Currently, this Extra Añejo Rum is made faithfully following the notes or nods of our remembered foreman, Juan Jiménez Villalba.
Manacas Rum is made through a careful and studied selection of the best rums from Venezuela, Panama, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica. With a Caribbean aging of five years and aged in the Solera Juan Jiménez Villalba of American oak barrels, which have previously housed Oloroso and Amontillados sherry wines.
