Description:
A puttonyo is a type of basket in which botrytis berries were collected and has an approximate capacity of 25 kg. The tradition in the production of Tokaj wines has preserved this word to specify the amount of noble grains used in the production of wines. The grapes affected by botrytis cinerea are also known as aszú and can be in quantities ranging from 3 to 6 puttonyos, specifications that also indicate the amount of sugar present in the wines: the more puttonyos, the greater the sweetness.
Disznókö is a century-old winery that was classified as Premier Cru in 1734. It has 130 hectares that are located in a privileged environment for the development of noble rot , with clay-volcanic soils and steep vineyards located in terraces facing south and protected from the prevailing winds where the pure expression of the quality of its native varieties and the territory where they are born is sought.
