VENEZUELA · 75%
Borburata is a small coastal village in the state of Carabobo, Venezuela, nestled among mountains that slope down toward the Caribbean; here, cacao has been cultivated for centuries on small family farms. Its proximity to the sea, humid climate, and rich soil give the cacao a distinctive character, featuring elegant notes of honey, caramel, and café au lait.
Fundo Don Rosendo is a cacao estate in Borburata managed by agronomist Francisco Betancourt. The project focuses on restoring the region's cacao heritage through careful genetic selection, modern agronomy, and a nursery program.
