Located in Bundibugyo, Western Uganda, Semuliki Forest cocoa is grown by 1,002 small-scale organic farmers in the region, of whom 52% are women. Latitude Trade Co, a social enterprise dedicated to improving the livelihoods of farmers, takes care of the entire post-harvest process.
Its soft, creamy texture... leaves no one indifferent. Aroma of cocoa, but full of bright flavors of fig jam and forest honey. An option to consider if you are looking for something sweeter and with a higher percentage of cocoa.

Description:
It was around the 60s when chocolate stopped being made as it had always been done: starting from the cocoa bean. The chocolate makers began to buy the paste already made, saving costs and increasing productivity, but thus losing their personality, flavor and essence.
We realized that the revolution had to start with tradition and that to reinvent chocolate it was necessary to return to its origin: the cocoa bean.
You had to take a step back to see things from a different perspective. Recover the essence and move forward. Return to artisanal production and small batches. Take care of the raw materials again and resume direct contact with the producers. In short, return to chocolate that tastes like chocolate.
