Founded in 1852, Marqués de Murrieta is one of the most important wineries in the history of Spain. Vicente Dalmau Cebrián-Sagarriga, Count of Creixell, has managed the winery since 1996; and he trusts the winemaker María Vargas to give her wines a 'measured modernity' without losing the essences of the house. The result: revalued wines at the top of the international scene. 

Castillo Ygay Gran Reserva Especial (D.O.Ca. Rioja) was made with selected grapes from the La Plana estate, located in the highest area (485 m altitude) of the Ygay Estate, surrounding the winery. A tall Rioja.
