In the mouth it is fresh, with polished and silky tannins. Very nice. Voluminous and structured body. Long and persistent finish.

Marqués de Riscal is a red wine produced by the Marqués de Riscal winery, in Elciego (Álava), D.O.Ca. Rioja.
The Marqués de Riscal winery has more than 150 years of history. A reference in the Spanish wine scene, Marqués de Riscal is considered one of the first modern Riojan companies that began to produce quality wines.
Currently, the Marqués de Riscal has 1,500 hectares of vineyards, 600 of which are owned, where the Tempranillo, Graciano, Mazuelo and Cabernet Sauvignon varieties are grown.
The success of Marqués de Riscal is recognized worldwide, as the winery exports 60% of its total production to more than 100 countries.
Marqués de Riscal Reserva is a red wine made with Tempranillo, Graciano and Mazuelo from vineyards over 40 years old, located on calcareous clay soils.
After the harvest, the grapes ferment at a controlled temperature with a maceration of 12 days. Once this is finished, it is aged for a minimum of 2 years in American oak barrels. It rests for a minimum of one year in the bottle before going on the market.
