Description:
Carmelo Rodero 9 Months is a red wine made by Bodegas Rodero in the D.O. Ribera del Duero.
The winery has 80ha of vineyards spread across the Burgos municipalities of Pedrosa de Duero, Boada de Roa, Roa and Mambrilla de Castrejón, in the heart of Ribera del Duero (Burgos).
Carmelo Rodero 9 Months is 100% made with Tinta del País (Tempranillo). The grapes come from vineyards between 5 and 20 years old.
To make Carmelo Rodero 9 months, the grapes were destemmed and semi-crushed for subsequent fermentation and maceration carried out at a controlled temperature. Carmelo Rodero underwent malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 20-22ºC for 9 months.
Once the fermentation process is complete, the wine is aged for 9 months in French and American oak barrels, with a subsequent rest in the bottle for about 3 months.
