Description: 

Dominio del Águila Reserva is a red wine from the D.O. Ribera del Duero made by Dominio del Aguila in the town of La Aguilera, Burgos. 

Dominio del Aguila is a winery created by Jorge Monzón and Isabel Rodero in 2010. Jorge began his oenology studies in Bordeaux and continued his professional career in emblematic wineries such as Romanée-Conti and Vega Sicilia until arriving at Arzuaga wineries. 

They cultivate 30 hectares of organic vineyards, the main variety planted is Tempranillo with other local varieties such as Bobal, Garnacha and Albillo on clay-sandy-rocky soils depending on the plot. 

The old vineyard of more than 85 years is located in the same municipality of La Aguilera, it is planted on sandy-calcareous soils at 900 meters of altitude. The main variety of the vineyard is Tempranillo, but as it is an old vineyard there are also other minority varieties such as Bobal and Albillo among the strains. 

Dominio del Águila Reserva ferments and macerates the entire plot at the same time in stainless steel tanks and with its own yeasts. With a long maceration it is transferred to French oak barrels where it undergoes malolactic fermentation and its subsequent aging for 35 months. 

Dominio del Águila Reserva is a wine for aging, with enormous complexity that will evolve over the years.
