Description:
Amaren Graciano is a red wine produced by Bodegas Amaren in the D.O. Ribera del Duero. Bodegas Amaren is owned by Juan Luis Cañas, owner of Bodegas Luis Cañas. A tribute to his mother, amaren in Basque means mother, a woman dedicated to tasks in the field and the winery.
Amaren Graciano is a single-varietal Graciano variety, made with grapes from old vines that are more than 60 years old. The harvest is carried out manually, applying a strict grape selection process, and it is transported to the winery in small boxes that preserve it in the best possible conditions.
Once the grapes arrive at the winery, a second selection is carried out to choose only the best grains. Fermentation takes place in oak wood vats. Once the fermentation is complete, the grapes are left to macerate to extract their full potential.
Amaren Graciano carries out malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels selected from various cooperages, where it will age for 18 months before bottling.
An excellent wine from Ribera del Duero, the result of a strict selection of grapes and a magnificent aging job.
