Description:
Founded in 1887, this old Jerez winery has received recognition throughout its history. Appointed at the beginning of the 20th century as supplier to the House of Lords of the United Kingdom and a little later as supplier to the Holy Apostolic Palace of the Vatican, Sánchez Romate continues to produce quality brandies and fortified spirits with an international vocation.
Her name says it all. This amontillado comes from one of the best soleras in Romate where it has been forgotten to let time do its work. It is a wine of concentration, which requires the attention of the taster to be fully enjoyed. Don't be fooled by its price because it is a wine of great power and breed.
Old gold color wine with golden flashes, clean, bright and abundant, slow tears.
On the nose with good intensity, notes of caramel, sponge cake in liquor, toasted almonds and sweet spices with a hint of varnish, very expressive, aromatic and elegant.
The palate, dry, powerful, full-bodied, long, broad, spicy touches, good acidity, balanced, toasted and nuts, very good.
Retronasal, dried fruits.
Aftertaste, long and very good.
