Description:
Gómez Cruzado Pancrudo is a red wine made by Bodegas Gómez Cruzado in Haro, D.O. Ca. Rioja.
Bodegas Gómez Cruzado was founded in 1886 in the well-known Haro station neighborhood, where the most classic and recognized wineries in the Rioja Alta are located.
The vineyard is divided into three areas of the Rioja Alta, in Sierra Cantabria, Najerilla and Alto Najerilla, forming the traditional landscape of the area with small vineyard hawthorns.
Bodegas Gómez Cruzado controls more than 100 different plots, applying sustainable and reasoned viticulture in all of them, thus being able to produce great wines with attachment to the terroir.
Gómez Cruzado Pancrudo is a wine made with Garnacha from old vineyards located in the municipality of Badarán (Alto Najerilla). Planted at 650 meters above sea level, facing north, on clay-ferrous soils.
The harvest is manual in 200 kilo boxes, with grape selection in the winery. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, carried out with gentle tapping. Malolactic fermentation and aging for 12 months are carried out 65% in French oak barrels and 35% in concrete eggs.
Gómez Cruzado Pancrudo is a fluid, elegant and sincere wine. The aromas of ripe red fruit stand out on the nose on a delicate mineral background. Delicious Grenache very representative of the area.
