We present the third vintage of what was the first red wine from Finca Las Ginebras in Labastida, aged 100% in American oak barrels.
After twelve years working premium estate wines only in French oak barrels, the house decided to go back to the origin of Rioja, raising one of the best plots of Tempranillo they have, in American oak.
Look for famous French cooperages that also work with American barrels. With their barrels and grapes they made this incredible and successful wine, making a blend of Grenache from the foothills of the Toloño hill (30%) and meticulously selecting the unique Tempranillos from the same plot (70%).

Description:
Color: Concentrated and bright ruby red with slight bluish edges that show its youthful nerve and power.
The color will evolve over time to the right extent, reaching wonderful burgundy tones.
Nose: The first impression when approaching the glass is to feel the fragrance of an intense but delicate sweetness. Subsequently, when the wine oxygenates it shows us its seriousness, the aromas of clean, slightly spicy wood appear, but without aggressive toasting, in this way we seek to preserve all the fruit aromatically. Wonderful balsamic and floral sensation (rose petals).
Mouth: With such an expressive and pleasant aroma we quickly want to savor it. The volume in the mouth of the 2019, 2020 and 2021 vintages is brutal and very similar, in addition to being pleasantly fresh. The drink shows us at the same time the tasty and sweet vinosity of the red Garnacha from Alava and the elegance of the tempranillos from our town. The twelve months spent in wood enhance our wine by giving it enough structure to grow and refine safely in the bottle over the years.
We have corked this harvest with a first-class natural cork, seeking possible risk-free aging and growth in the bottle.
