Emilio Moro Malleolus is a red wine made in the D.O. Ribera del Duero the Emilio Moro Winery. 

Emilio Moro is a family winery that continues to produce in a traditional way, taking advantage of the knowledge inherited from generation to generation since its foundation more than 70 years ago. 

The name of this wine, Malleolus, comes from the Latin word hawthorn, a term used in the area to refer to vineyards. 

Emilio Moro Malleolus is a single varietal of the Tinta Fina variety. 

The grape used to make Malleolus comes from the Camino Viejo vineyard. A vineyard planted in 1989, at an altitude of 890 meters above sea level, on a steep hillside. The soils are clay soils with some areas of limestone concentration, especially in the highest parts of the property. 

The production of Emilio Moro Malleolus begins with a maceration with the skins that lasts for 28 days. Once this maceration is complete, it undergoes malolactic fermentation and subsequent aging for 18 months in new Allier French oak barrels. 

Emilio Moro Malleolus is an elegant, sincere, complex wine from Ribera del Duero with a great structure. A great expression of Tinta del País, the queen variety of the Ribera del Duero.
