Description:
Vel'uveyra Mencia. A red wine born at 400 meters of altitude in the granitic soils of the leiras of Barxacova, the slope with the most Atlantic flora of the Sil canyons.
Made with Mencía strains (90%) and enriched with Garnacha Tintorera (10%), all of them adult strains between 10 and 60 years old. It is harvested by hand with care and respect. It is then fermented without yeast in French oak vats and stainless steel tanks with maceration for 25 days. After this process, it rests for 9 months in oak barrels. A Mr. Mencia. Look at the vineyard. And take it between 14 and 16 degrees to appreciate all its nuances.
Vel'uveyra presents a violet red chromaticism characteristic of Mencía. Aromas of undergrowth and castiñeiros from the Ribeira Sacra. Wild berries, blackberry, bramble, dried violet flowers, mineral. Balanced entry with balsamic notes. Structured wine but with great freshness and soft persistent tannins.
The object of Ronsel do Sil is the production of high quality wines within the D.O. Ribeira Sacra.
