Description: 

A Torna Dos Pasas Escolma is a red wine made by Luis Anxo Rodríguez in Arnoia (Orense) within the D.O. Ribeiro. 

In 1988, Luis Anxo Rodríguez created a small winery with family tradition in the place of Os Pasás , in Paixón, municipality of Arnoia. It has 2.7 hectares of vineyards divided into 29 plots. His objective is to work with native varieties, recover the sandy-siliceous hillside soils and practice low-yield, manual and environmentally friendly viticulture. 

A Torna Dos Pasas Escolma is a red wine made with Brancellao, Caíño Longo, Ferrol and Caíño Redondo, from the oldest vines in the winery, planted on slopes on sandy-siliceous soils. 

The harvest is manual. Each variety undergoes fermentation with native yeasts separately in stainless steel tanks. It is aged for 12 months in new French oak barrels. The wine is aged in the bottle for a minimum of 3 years before going on the market. 

A Torna Dos Pasas Escolma is a complex and balanced wine. Time in the bottle has polished the tannins, giving way to refined notes of aging. It is a wine like its author, serious, austere and with a lot of character.
