Description: 

Lalume is a white wine of the Treixadura variety produced by the Dominio do Bibei winery in the D.O Ribeira Sacra. 

Dominio do Bibei was born in 2000 from the concern of a group of young winemakers to show the virtues of the Ribeira Sacra terroir in the most natural way. Sponsored by Sara Pérez and René Barbier, children of the promoters of the Priorat renaissance, the winery is located in the town of Langullo (Orense). A new construction that is integrated into the natural landscape in a fragmented way and is based on the traditional model of construction on slopes to use gravity as a wine production system. 

The heterogeneous orography of the Ribeira Sacra, with altitudes ranging from 200 to 700 meters above sea level, means that the local varieties present a great variety of nuances. Its vineyards, between 10 and 30 years old, are planted in soils of granitic sand, clay and some shale. Lalume grapes are harvested manually and selectively in small boxes. 

In the winery, a meticulous manual selection of clusters and stems is carried out. Vinification is individual, classified by area, soil and height. Depending on its origin, the grapes ferment in barrels, foudres, concrete or stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of between 12 and 17ºC. Lalume is then aged in stainless steel tanks in contact with its fine lees. 

Lalume is a white wine that encompasses in the most natural way the expression of each of the terroirs of the capricious Ribeira Sacra.
