Description:
Jaros Albillo Mayor is a D.O. Ribera del Duero white wine, made from 100% Albillo Mayor grapes. The grapes for this wine come from a 1.6-hectare, low-yield plot featuring sandy, clay-rich soil with limestone, and a southern exposure. Jaros Albillo Mayor is produced at our winery and estate, Viñas del Jaro, located in Pesquera de Duero. The vineyard spans 46 hectares, divided into 28 distinct sectors based on grape variety, soil type, orientation, and altitude. Jaros Albillo Mayor is aged for 11 months in French oak barrels. The wine displays a brilliant yellow color and an intense nose, with aromas of dried apricots, honey, orange peel, peach, and ripe pineapple. Notes of toasted oak, nutmeg, and baked goods are also present. On the palate, it has a full-bodied entry; it is sweet yet fresh, with a pleasant touch of bitterness.
