- New
This is a new marvel from Bertrand Sourdais at Dominio de Es, from a vintage that promises to be of excellent quality, as confirmed by the Bodeboca team when tasting it in Primeur. A small percentage of Albillo is used in its production, and its production is so small that it fits into just three barrels.

Description:
Name: Paraje de Carravilla
Description: Pre-phylloxera vineyards trained in bush form and located on the lower part of the slope in the Atauta valley at an altitude of 935 metres. South facing. The vineyards are cultivated following biodynamic principles.
Surface: 0.27 hectares.
Soil: Composed of sand, silty-stony-calcareous.
Climate: The 2022 vintage had an extremely hot summer and a significant lack of rainfall that foreshadowed another result, and yet it followed in the footsteps of the great 2019 vintage due to the precision and impeccable balance of the wines, but with a lighter architecture. 2022 was a year of record temperatures in summer, both in maximum and minimum temperatures, and the almost absence of rain in summer. The winter was cold and dry and only in the months of April and May was there any rainfall. All stages were developed three weeks earlier than the average of other years, and there was luck with the frost and hail. The grapes remained small due to the lack of water, but despite this the old vines did not apparently suffer from it.
Harvest: The harvest began on September 16, 2022 with fog and
cool temperatures in the morning. 642 kilograms were collected to make this wine.
Vinification: 100% destemming. 67 days of maceration at a temperature between 17 and 29 ºC. During alcoholic fermentation, pumping over is carried out every 10 minutes with 02.
Aging: It is currently being aged in two semi-new French oak Burgundian barrels from the 2020 and 2021 wines.
