Glenfarclas 12, is undoubtedly a direct and simple approach to what Glenfarclas represents. It is a simple and direct representation of what Glenfarclas produces: warm and sherry whiskeys.
This is a whiskey that is known worldwide for these two characteristics that are, in fact, the perfect image of a whiskey that comes from Speyside.
Glenfarclas 12 has been aged entirely in Spanish oak barrels that had previously contained sherry. It has been bottled with 43% alcohol volume and no coloring has been added nor has it been cold filtered.

Description:
The view
Glenfarclas maintains a very conservative aesthetic line in its bottles. The box of the 12 year old edition is an electric blue color, and the bottle stopper is a cork. In the glass it has a toasted golden color, like caramel.
Nose
Glenfarclas 12 has a light and silky perfume. We will notice a mixture of sherry aromas and honey notes. We can also find aromas of oak and a little pine resin.
The palate
Medium-large body, we notice a strong presence of both sherry and fruity notes (raisins and apples) in the foreground. Secondly, it has flavors such as banana, honey and spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg. The wood is also quite present, and perhaps a touch of humidity from the barrel, reminiscent of wet earth.
The end
Spicy and quite long. The fruity notes that we find on the palate are less present, so it is a somewhat dry finish. We can find cinnamon, cloves, sherry and oak notes.
