Description:
Château Rocheyron is a red wine blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc classified as an AOC Saint-Émilion Grand Cru wine.
Château Rocheyron is a Bordeaux winery owned and managed by the famous winemaker Peter Sisseck, producer of the legendary Pingus from Ribera del Duero, together with Silvio Denz, perfumer, art collector and owner of several wineries.
The vineyards of Château Rocheyron have an average age of about 45 years, they are from 40 to 80 years old. They are planted on a limestone plateau, about three and a half kilometers from the center of Saint-Émilion. The total area of the vineyard is 8.45 hectares and its average yield is approximately 20 hectoliters per hectare.
To make Château Rocheyron, the grapes are destemmed and cold macerated. Next, they ferment in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of about 24ºC. Once vinified, it ages for 14 months in French oak barrels. 50% of the barrels are renewed annually.
Château Rocheyron is a red wine that offers silky and elegant tannins, great aromatic intensity and good body, acidity and balance. It is a wine with enormous aging potential. Less than ten thousand bottles are produced annually.
