Description:
Pezas da Portela is a tribute to Portela, origin of Godello. It is a village wine that is produced exclusively from the eleven historic fishes (small plots) located on the slate slopes of the village of Portela. These eleven fish were planted throughout the first half of the 20th century. XX by the children of Mr. José Ramón Gayoso, second generation of the family, continuing the legacy of his father as a pioneer in the cultivation and production of Godello wines, and for this they used a masal selection from Pedrouzos.
Its production, based on preserving the unique identity and character of each fish, requires individual and independent treatment of the plots, adapting the vinification and aging tasks to the size of each one of them.
The wine shows an aromatic intensity full of subtlety, elegance and complexity; a creamy texture of great depth, smoothness and acidity in balance, achieving a perfect harmony between freshness and complexity.
It is a wine that will show its splendor over the next 15 years
