Tanuki Bob is a red wine made by the 4 Kilos winery in Felanitx, V.T. Majorca. 

In 2006 Francesc Grimalt and Sergi Caballero founded the 4 Kilos winery. 4 Kilos, is the colloquial way of saying 4 million pesetas, this was the initial investment that Francesc and Sergio made to start the winery. 

4 Kilos makes its wines in Felanitx, in the heart of the island of Mallorca. Here the climate is mild Mediterranean, with dry, warm summers and little rainfall. They practice rational agriculture, very respectful of the environment, and with minimal intervention. They use native plant cover, with a large microbiological population with the aim of ensuring good biodiversity in the vineyard. 

With these conditions and Francesc's enormous knowledge of native varieties, they make wines with character and very authentic. 

Tanuki Bob is a red wine made with Manto Negro and Syrah from vineyards located on clay-loam soils with the presence of ferric oxide, called Call Vermell . 

After the manual harvest with grape selection in the same vineyard, it is fermented in 4000 liter foudres with native yeasts. Once the fermentation is finished, it is aged for 9 months in the same foudres and 9 more months in stainless steel tanks. Before going on the market, it rests for 6 months in the bottle.
