Description:
Terroir: From the banks of the Sil River, with slopes ranging from 40% to 70%,
we find very poor soils based on slate and granite with some sand, together with the
well-marked southern orientation, are the elements that define the typicality of this wine. The
influence of the Cantabrian Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, in addition to the continental climate,
offer concentration and at the same time freshness and elegance. The vines are located between 150m
and 400m above sea level.
The grape harvesting process is entirely manual, called Heroic Viticulture.
Manual vineyard management due to the impossibility of mechanization, in accordance with the orientation of the vineyards
on the terraces of the Sil River. Grapes transported by hand or via rails.
Harvest: between the end of September and the beginning of October. It is essential to take into account the orientation of the vines; the plots facing south, more exposed to the sun, are harvested earlier than those facing north.
Storage: 70% American barrels, 30% French barrels, both first use, 6 months. ABV: 13°. Residual sugar: - 1.8. PH: 3.50. Sulfites: 0.8/liter. Number of bottles: 3800.
Tasting notes: Amandi offers concentrated, fresh and elegant wines, with great storage potential.
